North Carolina mother-daughter duo Lee and Sarah Atkinson took second place in Prairie Home Companion’s The Great American Duet Sing-Off Saturday, April 9.
The pair sang Laurelyn’s “That I Should Know Your Face,” which Lee and Sarah learned from Polecat Creek’s record “Leaving Eden.” The duo are lifelong residents of North Carolina. Lee lives in Greensboro with her husband, John; daughter Sarah and her husband, Grant, make their home in Asheville. They did an amazing job, bravely singing a capella for a radio audience of millions.
You can hear their award-winning performance HERE.
And you can watch the two backstage getting ready for the show around minute 5:25 on this video.
